Because his mom is Korean.

Same reason Lars Nootbaar is playing for Japan, or Trayce Thompson playing for Great Britain.

Or Marcus Stroman playing for the US in 2017, and Puerto Rico in 2023.

WBC has the same internatiol qualifications as the Olympics.

Re: 2023 World Baseball Classic

Looking like Puerto Rico vs Dominican Republic on Wednesday will be an elimination game.

Re: 2023 World Baseball Classic

Mexico gonna beat our ***. Meneses is a beast though.

The pitching is not good enough on this team. Once the U.S lineup gets hot they'll be a force. But feel like pitching will be a weakness. And will keep them from a title.

I get the risk of injury especially with pitchers. But damn the U.S brought their C pitching staff. We really started Nick Martinez and expected good results?

Well this got ugly...

Re: 2023 World Baseball Classic

U.S better beat the breaks off Canada tonight. That lineup should be capable of 8 or more runs.

Re: 2023 World Baseball Classic

Average WBC game length has been close to 3.5 hours! I get it's because of these big scores, but given we have had mercy rules come in too where the game ended after 5 or 7 innings, that somewhat makes up for some game times.

That's still almost 30 mins more than MLBs average last year, and almost an hour more than the current ST averages.
