Surprised the Pirates put up that many runs. Didn't like the decision to use Bednar, but just keep winning. Hayes is heating up.

As much of a story as the A's have been, they're only 4 games behind the Royals. A's are 5-5 in last ten, Royals are 3-7. A's have won 3 straight, Royals have lost 4 straight.

Manoah is in the minors, Trevor Richards takes his spot in the rotation.

Through 3 innings he's struck out 7 and allowed 1 hit!

He's already had a better start than Manoah had all season.

A's pitching just had to get better. They weren't going to carry a 7.00 team ERA all season.
