The Mets pick No. 32 instead of No. 22 due to them spending more than $40 million above the luxury tax threshold in their 2022 payroll. However, besides the No. 32, they'll receive the No. 101 pick, No. 134 and No. 135 as draft pick loss and FA compensations. Still, you would think that Steve Cohen is now more pissed at this additional part of the 'Cohen Tax'.

I'm more than ecstatic having Colin Houck fall to #32. He's committed to Mississippi so it's going to take a BIG signing bonus. He's a big Georgia kid and what better way to end the Braves dominance.

At #56 SP Brandon Sproat, Florida was selected a second time. Last year he was selected in the 3rd rd and betted on himself and now drafted higher. He's about to turn 23 so he's primed for their pitching competition quickly.
