For the right group of guys I will agree.

But, early signs seem to show that the Marlins have a young group of guys that might emulate the Giambi/Damon/Tejada Oakland team.

A guy like Showalter waltzing around with his military style of managing might only get those young kids to hate playing in Florida. Buck already had some of the young players in Texas wanting out.

I'm all for discipline. But, Buck might be better suited for a veteran club that doesn't mind all the rules because they already want to follow them.

It'd be good to see to see Tom Kelly back in baseball.

I would imagine Rudy Jaramillo has the inside track if they decide to hire from within the organization.

They're saying Wakamatsu is leading choice but that's speculation. Jaramillo could be good but I'd rather see him stick to hitting.

Texas is also looking at Bud Black, the Angel's Pitching Coach and Ron Washington, the A's 3rd Base Coach.

Too bad both of those teams had made the playoffs within the last year or two.
