Rangers will win the World Series next year.

Showalter was fired from the Yankees after 1995, replaced by Torre and the Yankees won the next year.

Then Showalter was fired from the Diamondbacks in 2000, replaced by Brenly and the D-Backs won the World Series.

Y'know if the Marlins weren't so quick to name their manager I think Showalter would've been perfect for them. He's the kind of guy that can teach and also get the most out of his players.

Re: Buck's shown the door...

Thank God above!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I absolutely couldn't stand the guy, him or John Hart. I really like the new GM, so with a new coach, I'll watch the Rangers next year.

Buck is an overbearing prick, which would be OK with me if he was worth a crap as a manager.

Re: Buck's shown the door...

I hope this doesn't mean he's coming back to Baseball Tonight. Imagine, with him, Tino, Kruk (who I actually like), and Orestes Destrada, how bad this show will be? They will have completely ruined BBT if this happens.

I really do not see Showalter getting a Manager job this winter. The only team i could see him fitting with would be Washington, but i think they will go in a different direction.
