    How EA ruined baseball games...

I'm sorry, but I just can't play any other baseball game again. I tried to play the new ASB last night cuz I thought all of the features were cool and I really liked the franchise mode, very in depth...but man is it brutal to play. The pitching and hitting just bored me to tears that after 4 innings I had to grab my digital crack (MVP) and play it immediately. AHHH that's better. Even with it's flaws it's just foo fun. It kinda reminds me of when NHL was getting really addictive in the late 90's. Just one more game....

I agree. MVP does one of the most important things right. They made the game extremely fun. Might sound stupid but I am excited already about what MVP2004 will be like. Nice comeback EA....

I am glad I got the Buell- I love riding it, I love the oddball looks I get on the road- I love people asking "What IS that thing?" I love flying into a corner WAY too hot, scared spitless and sure I'll never hold it at this speed- and hearing the bike whisper "Sissy!"...

BTW: Played a few games last night with cousin (First person I have played 2 player with that knew how to play seriously. Before it was just nephews etc..)
Anyways they 2 player mode is very fun. Just wish MVP and WSBB had 2 player franchise mode

that seems to be the rule of thumb over at EA: make the games as realistic as you can, just so long as the gameplay is fun.

Great topic to grab peoples attention....I agree totally I've become so accustomed to playing EA games going on close to 10 years now, and their controls just feel right that its tough for me to change over to other games. I tried NFL 2k3 this year but couldnt get used to it and just didnt like it in geneeral. Tried NBA 2k series, and still would rather have NBA Live. EA has ruined my appetite towards trying other sports games, especially when they put out a good game like MVP......

Agree with everything except NBA2k, its just the better basketball game, IMO. I havnt enjoyed Live since Live 99 I think.

Yep..2k3 is heads and tails better than Live. Plus NHL2k3 is way ahead of EA NHL. I don't really care who comes out on top, as I love MVP. I guess it's different for each game.
