While that is important, the Hall looks at overall numbers.

Yea, and Marty Cordova was Rookie of the Year.

Awards only mean you were the voted best for that given season.

I agree and I don't feel he should be in. Your post seemed to imply he was a scrub or something who had a fluke year. He was a solid major leaguer from 1958-1964.

I'm surprised he hasn't gotten in through the vets committee...they have always put non-deserving players in.

Re: HoF ballot released...

Lock:

Rickey Henderson

Borderline:

Jim Rice
Bert Blyleven
Andre Dawson
Tim Raines

Outside looking in:

Mark McGwire
Jack Morris
Dale Murphy
Harold Baines

Henderson gets in (of course) and I think two of the three in the "borderline" group gets in.

lol. That's a quote that Whitey Herzog always says.

Obviously it's, as mentioned above, Pete Rose.

I'll take a wild stab and say that Ichiro is a HOF also.

I agree with that one. Considering all the seasons he's racked up 200+ hits, and has the record for number of hits in a season..

Re: HoF ballot released...

Henderson, Blyleven, Raines, and Smith would be my picks.
