I can't believe I'm going to side with a Philly.
But this is bit of a cheesy punishment.
I agree that he should be held accountable for what he takes.
He knows that sports...especially baseball...is keeping it's eye on the whole "enhancement" issue, so he should have been a little more diligent in checking it out...

HOWEVER....I think he did make a fairly reasonable attempt at checking if the supplement was good and I truly don't believe he meant to try and sneak something in. I think that's pretty obvious.

They should have gave him 10 games(without the ridiculous "admit it and you'll get off easy") just to remind players that they are looking(the MLB) and that they(the players) should thoroughly check things out with THE MLB. Don't count on the MLBPA for answers(obviously).

He should win a reduction in appeal IMIO.

But I guess he's trying to act better than the media who has used the word "Steroids" for the past 4 years or so without fear of future athletes.

It's at the point where that unless you can make some kind of elixer from your neighborhood grocery store, don't buy it.

You would think MLB would be a bit more clear about what is in bounds and what is out of bounds, especially after the recent embarrasment that were the hearings.

Oh yeah, that's right..... this is the same organization that makes one game have a bearing on the other 162.
