This thread has been pretty quiet. Anyway, I meant to post this earlier this month, but there's a Wendy's MLB.tv promotion going on thru 8/31 that let's you get MLB.tv Premium for 50¢ (and a social media post) for the rest of the season. I tried it, and it does work.

Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

I know it's a big deal to some (myself included), so I wanted to give this thread a bump. This year's MLB.TV web site player is new, and based on the handful of ST games I've watched it appears to be running at 60 FPS! That is a first, although the video game consoles and some other devices were already doing 60 FPS streams before now.

So, SO glad to finally see this.

Great news! It was definitely running 60fps on my phone last year but not on the website. Hopefully Roku streaming is improved this year.

Agreed...the feeds I've seen so far are BEAUTIFUL. Makes a big difference.

Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

Are the MLBTV streams still 30 seconds delayed or so?

I have a major fear that this year they'll finally be disabling the web player version from a few years ago that is actually/even ahead of live. Nightmare fuel.

EDIT: Just went to the URL for that version of that gamecenter/player and it redirects to their main player now.

****!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

My biggest issue is the "Popular Clips" feature during commercials.

I'm getting really sick of seeing 50 Cent's first pitch, Craig Biggio's 3000th hit, Bartolo Colon throwing the ball behind his back, and Paul O'Neill kicking the ball.

They have access to literally every single play made in MLB history, throw in some damn variety.
