Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

Wonderful, now it won't even let me use HD quality. I manually set the slider to maximum, and it sits there "adjusting" for a few seconds, then instantly reverts back to the regular setting. I've downloaded the latest version of NexDef, reinstalled it, and tried it in both FF and IE with no luck.

Sadly, the only computer it works on is my netbook which doesn't have the cpu power to run HD to begin with.

It seems that it's the NexDef thing that's at fault. Even if I leave it on normal quality, but move the slider from normal to NexDef, it all of a sudden becomes ridiculously cpu-hungry and starts stuttering and skipping.

What kind of monster connection and hardware setup does it take to run this thing at max quality perfectly smooth? I can understand my little Atom netbook being insufficient since it struggles with HD Youtube, but I can't even get HD to work on my powerful desktop where I assume it would run fine...

I wish they had a free trial thing so I could check and see what this looked like on my notebook.

Yeah, I've had it. This thing just does not work in HD... always reverts back to default quality and even at default quality is nothing but stutters and skips until NexDef is uninstalled.

Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

I just tested it out with the little help of a friend.

Although I'm not sure he'll like my choice of teams, it ran rather smooth window'd on my laptop. When I moved it to fullscreen I would get a little bit of flicker, but didn't notice any slowdown.

This was of an archived game though, because the time I tested it there weren't any live games going on...

Things are definitely NOT going smoothly with MLB.TV right now. This new flash-based software they are using just isn't ready for prime time yet. I really wish they would give us the option to view games in the "old" WMP like last year. I can do without the PiP and the fancy stuff, just let me have the game I wanna watch without the garbage going on with the new player.

Hey, Bahnzo!

You have MLB.TV also, huh? This is my first year and I'm impressed so far. Sounds like some folks are having issues with it but it's been running ok on my side.

Side Note: I run MLB2k9 (PC) windowed and run MLB.TV right above it. I can watch a game and play a game on the same screen. I'm hoping they improve the load times for watching 4 games at once, other than that, I like it!

Re: MLB.TV - Major League Baseball online

This same laggyness happend with NBA League pass earlier in the year... i think its just server overload... it only last for the first month of the League pass, i assume the same will be for MLB.tv

Im really enjoying this though
