DEFINITELY yes. He's a career .301 hitter!

Re: So long Big Hurt.

Good, I hope he comes back to the White Sox and gets a job doing something off-field.

Re: So long Big Hurt.

Had a life size cutout of him on my wall as a kid. Probably have every baseball card from his first 7 or 8 years. Him and Maddux were my favorite hitter and pitcher growing up as a kid...maybe they'll be in the same hall class....not sure how that works with Frank hangining them up mid year. Had he stayed healthy for a few of those years in the early 2000's, he'd be one of the greatest hitters ever, though he's still one of the greatest right handed hitters of the last 50 years...600 HR's would have been a given had he stayed healthy.

.301, 521 HR's, back to back MVP's, .974 OPS.

Re: So long Big Hurt.

dang its hard to see him go. He was a best for the White Sox and his swing was so unorthodox that it look like he was barely hitting the ball but boy did it carry when he did!!!

Sure book HOF'er in my book.

AND THANK YOU FOR NOT USING STERIODS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No player will ever get in with 100% of the votes. Just the way Baseball is.

Re: So long Big Hurt.

I loved when he was in Oakland. In the on-deck circle he would swing a stick of rebarb. It was the most intimidating thing i've ever seen. haha
