Yup.. I remember him from those "sticker books" they used to sell (where you bough a pack of stickers from a card store)..

Even though he was a "big guy", he could hit for average as well as power.. Class act too

He was one of the best right handed hitters i saw play.

I would be shocked if he came up dirty...

Frank was one of the few players who was ready to lead the charge against PED's before the issue exploded so hopefully we will never hear his name outed on any lists.

Watching the Big Hurt crush the ball was the only reason to watch the White Sox for most of the 1990's. He was definitely one of my favorite players, i think i may even still have his 1990 Topps rookie card.

Re: So long Big Hurt.

I'll miss him. I was a HUGE proponent of the Twins signing him the year he ended up with Oakland. We could have gotten him for the freaking league minimum. What did he do that year? Oh - only crush us in the playoffs with a two-homer performance in the Dome. He also hit his 500th home run in the Dome and got a standing O. Even though he will always be remembered for killing the Twins, I will miss him. Great career - I would be genuinely surprised and would probably disown all Steroid Era baseball if he turns out to be dirty. In my mind, him and Griffey Jr. are the only thing keeping that time of baseball relevant.

Without a doubt. This will be a first-ballot message-sender to the rest of the Steroid Era frauds.
