Even just for financial sake, I think baseball is okay with not being the team sport equivalent of golf.

Golf has pace of play rules, so in essence they do have a shot clock.

I don't get all the fuss over a pitch clock. The clock was present last year, it just wasn't enforced. I'm sure there will be strict enforcement for the first month, then everyone will adjust and no one will think about it anymore.

I know this is OT even for OT but what's the name of the golfer who kept getting slow play warnings/violations a couple years ago? I can't think of his name and it's killing me

I wanna say he was of asian descent but I'm not sure -it just occurred to me while typing this that it's Kevin Na-

sorry for the distraction lol carry on

It's being introduced this year on the European tour and has already been used on the Web.com tour.

Re: MLB Off-Topic

Found some details on the proposed changes:

PITCH CLOCK RULES

Clock starts when the pitcher has the ball on the mound and stops when he begins his windup or comes set.
Should the pitcher step off the rubber, the clock resets.
Hitters must be in the batter's box five seconds after the clock starts.
Pitchers receive one warning per game.
A second violation results in a ball being awarded to the hitter.
The rule would come into effect on Opening Day.
MOUND VISIT RULES

Any visit from a manager, coach, or player to the mound, or if a pitcher leaves the mound to speak with another player, counts as a mound visit.
More than one visit in the same inning results in the pitcher being removed from the game.

Big fan of this.
