Basically chicken pox on your hands, feet and face. I had it when I was in high school (and actually played a football game later in the week once many of the pox had turned into blisters....that was painful and probably not a great idea.)

It's not a skin disease like MRSA or others....so its not necessarily contagious via touch...its more of an airborn thing

EDIT: Google lists skin-to-skin contact a way to spread it.....but it is also spread through the air
Also apparently doctors are worried about the uptick in cases of HFM....so its not just a NY baseball problem

Why do I get the sense I'm just watching the same Cubs game over and over? Ever since the All-Star break, the theme has not changed. Starting pitching is crap. Offense is ok, but not quite good enough. Bullpen is pretty good. We're back to win 1 lose 1 baseball--what a great time to be alive!
