Re: 9/16 - 9/29 Game Discussion Thread

What does Keith Law have against Biggio? Did Craig beat Keith's fave team and make him lose a major bet back in the day?

First he ripped Biggio saying he's not worth a major league roster spot.

He hits for cycle, Law is still basically like "that means nothing."

Sure his batting average isnt so good, though his OBP is .361. OPS almost .800. Defensively he's at worst an average 2B. As a rookie, that's not so bad. In 89 games he has 13SB and 14HR. That's a 162 average of 25HR and 24SB. A guy who could have 20-20 potential and get on base about 36% of the time isnt deserving of a roster spot?

Nobody saying he's an all star player, but definitely deserves to be in the big leagues.

Doesn't look like the Cubs are getting any closer than 2 games back of STL before the big series starts. Really need a win tonight to keep the deficit there.

Good win today

Now if the Reds and Padres could help us out

3 game lead will be nice heading into 4 game weekend series with Cubs

Really cool that Len and JD have Marty Brennaman visiting the TV booth tonight. Brennaman is retiring after 46 years doing Reds baseball. Cubs fans will also recognize he's the dad of Thom Brennaman (worked with Harry Caray back in the day)...and father and son called the game together a bit in the bottom of the 3rd.

Re: 9/16 - 9/29 Game Discussion Thread

Albert Pujols popped out in his first at-bat tonight, dropping his career batting average to .299999999.

The last time his career average was below .300 was following his 4th game in the Majors.

That might be the laziest tag I've ever seen from Blandino. Castellanos might actually be safe.

Edit: And he is.
