As an A's fan, I HIGHLY recommend reading the book.

After reading the book, watch the movie. It is crushing at times, but there is nothing not to like about it.

Yeah baseball is a cruel stepmother sometimes. It can be very hard to watch.

P.S. I am not a Raiders fan. I'm an Eagles fan. Raiders were in LA when I was growing up, so I gots no problems with the Chiefs lol.

I have to give you credit for the run scored this inning lol. Cause if was up to the A's (and the 3rd base coach) Semien would still be standing on 2nd base. He just took matters into his own hands and said the heck with the team philosophy of just standing around and moving only one base at a time lol.

Nope.... actually pullin' for them.... and this is from an old Cincy Reds fan and I absolutely loathed those early 70's A's teams.
