The New York Yankees have informed their minor league players that another minor leaguer in the organization has tested positive for coronavirus, sources familiar with the message distributed to players tell ESPN.

I think if they could get started by May, a lot of double headers in the first six weeks would make up a lot of games. But yeah I'm fearing the worst that the season will be cancelled. Who knew that anything could be worse than 1994?

I know you're only really indicating number of games, but 1994 was in our control (just like how we avoided exactly that in 2002). It was our own fault that it happened. Not "us" in the literal sense, but you know what I mean.

NEWS: Each of the 30 Major League Baseball teams will commit $1 million to ballpark employees who would not have been paid due to the coronavirus crisis causing the postponement of the baseball season until at least mid-May. Story filed to ESPN and coming soon.

Atlanta Braves star Freddie Freeman has pledged to donate $50,000 to the Atlanta Food Bank, $50,000 to Giving Kitchen -- which provides emergency assistance to food-service workers -- and $25,000 to the Salvation Army, all to assist in the fallout from the coronavirus crisis.

I really really really miss baseball. And it wouldn’t have even started yet. This sucks.
