Gerrit Cole vs Shane Bieber in Game 1. How about that for an ace showdown in Game 1?

Yankees and Indians are interesting. Yankees have been banged up all year(Shocker) and are just now getting back to normal. So the record is really not indicative of how good this team is.

However, the bullpen isn't as good as past years. They've looked inconsistent and have been struggling as of late facing a red hot Indians team with probably the the best three man rotation you could have in a series. Future CY Bieber, Carrasco, and Plesac.

I don't love this matchup for the Yankees. Even with Cleveland's anemic offense. Because the Indians pitching staff can do the same to the Yanks bats.

I'll say if they can knock Bieber out in Game 1. Yanks will advance. If not it's all Cleveland.

Predictions

Rays defeat Blue Jays (Seems the Rays continue to fly under the radar despite being the #1 seed)
Yankees defeat Indians (Still think the Yankees are the best team in the American League)
Twins defeat Astros (Twins better team and Astros are struggling to hit)
A's defeat White Sox (Probably the most entertaining series for me)

Jays going with an interesting tactic. Instead of 1-2-3 in terms or their rotation, they're doing 3-1-2. So Shoemaker starts game 1, Ryu game 2, Walker game 3.

Shoemaker only pitched 6 games this year. 3 vs the Rays.
