It is very strange listening to Len Kasper doing Cubs-White Sox as the White Sox radio PBP man.

Just realized the Angels don't play today either.

Seemed weird that an off day for both teams ahead of their series didnt just get made the makeup date for the game, but instead they made tomorrow the doubleheader.

If you're a team, would you prefer a day off and then the doubleheader, or just having 1 game each of those 2 days?

Considering the Angels just played in Los Angeles on Sunday and then have to travel to Toronto which equates to them losing 3 hours (time zone difference), I'd rather have the day off on Monday and then play a double header the next day.

The angels have played 18 days in a row and have to fly across the countries, playing today would give them like 30 days straight with games. I’d take the day off and doubleheader in that scenario.

The Giants are the odd team out in the NL West and will be one and done in the wild card game regardless of which team they face, and will also be one and done in the divisional round if they somehow win the division

Angels are playing at home for the Jays series.

It's a weird doubleheader where because it's their last meeting of the season, Jays are making up a Buffalo home game in Anaheim.

So this will technically be their 4th different city they've played a home game in this season.

my mistake I just knew the Jays were home today, thought series in Toronto.

In any event what Reyes said above is more likely the reason the teams have a doubleheader versus playing tonight, in that the Angels have played for 18 straight days.
