Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers

Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers
With Gasol in the fold, the payroll's probably going to be in the $78-82 mil range and they'll have to pay a Luxury Tax, but if they're in contention the revenue is going to increase as well, because we know how many bandwagon fans the Lakers have. I bet fools in Spain are going online right now to order their Paul Gasol jerseys.Jordan Mychal Lemos

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers
That is the most shocking trade I've ever been witness to....wow...just wow
I wonder who MEM is going to pursue with these draft picks because this season is automatically in the dumpster.
Any ideas?Comment

Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers
All is not lost for the Griz.
This move has only further cemented the Kwame Kurse.
2-3 years of crap, and then a brilliant trade.
The Wizards drafted Kwame #1 overall. However, we ended up with the best player from the draft (Agent 0), and traded Kwame for Caron Butler.
Now the Lakers have traded Kwame for the second best player in that draft.
So while it may suck now, in two or three years, you'll have a prime Tyson Chandler, Joe Johnson, or Tony Parker.Comment

Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers
Oh the west is competitive, no doubt. There are ten teams that could and should make it to the second round. Aside from San Antonio, I don't even think most first round defeats would be an upset. But in regards to mentioning GS in the light of teams that could make it to the finals; I think that's a little off the mark. They are talented and fast and they can shoot, but there is no path to the Finals that I could see them embarking, whereas Dallas, Phoenix and SA are in a similar class of being legit contenders. I don't consider Denver a contender at all, so I don't care who they match up with. If NO or Portland beat Denver, I wouldn't be shocked.Comment

Re: Pau Gasol to the Lakers
If they don't get the first pick in the lottery they'll probably use them in some moves to get the #1 aka Beasley.PS: You guys are great.
