LA has a edge now that they have Gasol,Baron Davis gives Kobe fits like Lebron James maybe worst that's why they matchup well with LA

SA and Utah naw they don't matchup well
how do you say GS matched up well with LA when the Lakers have been smashing them for years now?? And that was with or without Bynum/Gasol......

Because of the Bird Rights resigning any of your own players is only a problem if you don't want to pay the Luxury Tax. L.A. can have a 100 million dollar payroll if they wish, but its not going to come to that. This is the way I see it working out: Bynum will slide into Odum's old pay slot, Odum's if he wants to stay WILL take a pay cut, getting somewhere between the full MLE and Kwame's old 9 mil per.

With Gasol in the fold, the payroll's probably going to be in the $78-82 mil range and they'll have to pay a Luxury Tax, but if they're in contention the revenue is going to increase as well, because we know how many bandwagon fans the Lakers have. I bet fools in Spain are going online right now to order their Paul Gasol jerseys.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

That is the most shocking trade I've ever been witness to....wow...just wow

I wonder who MEM is going to pursue with these draft picks because this season is automatically in the dumpster.

            Any ideas?

All is not lost for the Griz.

This move has only further cemented the Kwame Kurse.

2-3 years of crap, and then a brilliant trade.

The Wizards drafted Kwame #1 overall. However, we ended up with the best player from the draft (Agent 0), and traded Kwame for Caron Butler.

Now the Lakers have traded Kwame for the second best player in that draft.

So while it may suck now, in two or three years, you'll have a prime Tyson Chandler, Joe Johnson, or Tony Parker.

But how do I go home and watch league pass everynight with the frontcourt of Kwame Brown and Darko.

                      I'd rather play 3 on 5

i logged onto espn.com and my jaw just dropped I didn't expect it at all.

Oh the west is competitive, no doubt. There are ten teams that could and should make it to the second round. Aside from San Antonio, I don't even think most first round defeats would be an upset. But in regards to mentioning GS in the light of teams that could make it to the finals; I think that's a little off the mark. They are talented and fast and they can shoot, but there is no path to the Finals that I could see them embarking, whereas Dallas, Phoenix and SA are in a similar class of being legit contenders. I don't consider Denver a contender at all, so I don't care who they match up with. If NO or Portland beat Denver, I wouldn't be shocked.

If they don't get the first pick in the lottery they'll probably use them in some moves to get the #1 aka Beasley.
