Fair enough. Lets say in the first 2 minutes of game six, Tyrus Thomas punches Rondo in the face. I guess its justified as "playoff basketball". Some of the responses dismissing this are weak.

There's a huge difference between a punch in the first 2 minutes and trying to do everything your power to prevent a game tying basket in game 5 of a series that has gone to overtime 4 out of 5 chances. If you don't understand that you don't understand competition. I doubt Rondo had the intention of hurting him.

To be honest I never saw a clear shot of what exactly happened besides his hand hitting Miller's face. It looked like he was trying to swipe for the ball but the angle wasn't clear to me.

He wouldn't have been able to reach the ball if he had volture-wings for arms. He swiped at his face. But I appreciate that you didn't rule it either way because you are unsure. Not the typical BS from most.

Not really. A flagrant foul is a flagrant foul. A big reason for having flagrant fouls is to prevent escalation. But that aside, Rondo made no attempt at the ball. The competitive element was no more than just slugging someone in the face, which I hope happens.

Lol man I'm not delusional I'm just going by my common sense. I've seen Rondo go all out for wins his whole career, that's how the kid plays, and I know that in basketball you often slap people in the head trying to swipe the ball from bigger guys by accident. That's what I assumed he was trying to do. I just saw the replay and you can't say for sure what his intentions were. In the heat of the game all you can do is try.

On the refs part or the players? Because the refs had the oppurtunity to review it and get it right. With two seconds (assuming BM makes at least 1 ft) the Bulls could easily get a bucket. They send in Tyrus, decoy to Gordon, second decoy to D-Rose mid range, and then lob it up for TT24. So easy to get one point...

It is 100% clear what his intentions were. Don't let your inner C's fan fool you. It was a deliberate swing towards his head. He hit him in the neck and basically clotheslined him.

Ok I just watched the replay amplified on my computer and paused it at a point when Miller and Rondo were both in the air. At one point Rondo's fingers were literally INCHES from the ball. I have it paused right now if you want me to take a picture and email it to you I can. You guys underestimate how freakish this kid is proportionally.
