Rank Shaq's Sidekicks

I just watched an old school game of Shaq on the Magic with Penny and just made me remember how sweet Penny was before his career got derailed, and it really made me start thinking about who I thought were some of Shaq's best "sidekicks" note I am using this term simply to refer to his teammates I obviously know on the Celtics in today's age that Rondo is obviously not Shaq's sidekick.

Here is the list of teammates starting from the beginning of his career and what I think they are ranked on the side......

3. Penny Hardaway
1. Kobe Bryant
5. Dwayne Wade
4. Steve Nash
2. LeBron James
6. Rajon Rondo (Will change in time but for now I guess he is 6th)

Well considering the fact that he only won a championship with LA and Miami,
1. Kobe
2. Dwyane
3. Lebron
4. Hardaway(went to the championship with him)
5. Nash

Nash and Lebron wasnt Shaq's sidekicks. And neither are any of The Celtics.

Kobe, Wade, then Penny.

I prefer Penny who was on equal footing w/ Shaq those days.

Agree! He and Kobe dominated the early 2000s.

One could argue that Kobe and Penny are the only people who have been Shaq's sidekicks. Shaq was more of a Pippen during his run with Miami, and ever since the Miami days he obviously hasn't been the main guy on a team anymore due to age and other factors. Still, if Wade can be assessed as a sidekick then the list would go:

1. Kobe
2. Wade
3. Penny

Kinda surprised that no loser has come in here to argue that Kobe wasn't Shaq's sidekick back in the day, lol. Operation Sports certainly holds much more educated basketball fans than Youtube I guess.

I dunno but Shaq was still dominant when he went to Miami. 20/9
Wade and Kobe benefitted from Shaq's presence. Both were on mediocre teams until he "showed up".
Kobe was a rookie when Shaq joined. By the time they got knocked after the three-peat Kobe wasnt Robin anymore.

I know a lot of the players Shaq has played with are not his sidekicks clearly Nash wasn't, Rondo obviously, and LeBron clearly guess it was more of a watching an old school Shaq game and thinking bout how many amazingly talented players he has played on and just wondering who were the best of the amazingly talented teammates he has had the pleasure of playing with.

But if you are going by which sidekick was the best for shaq, it goes

1. LeBron James

My favorite player in the NBA today. No contest.

2. Dwyane Wade

Not counting the rings with the Lakers because I don't like them, Miami was Shaq's only championship and D-Wade is the main reason for that. Also I heart Miami.

3. Steve Nash

One of my favorite PGs in the NBA today. He's flashy, he's a two-time MVP and he's from the same province as me. What else is there?

4. Rajon Rondo

I love this guy. He's the most fun to watch passer in the NBA, and he has the ability to EVERYTHING at a high level, minus blocks, free throws and jump shots. Great potential, too.

5. Kevin Garnett

One of the first players I knew about when I started watching the NBA. I love his energy and hustle. He's also got a great game on both ends of the floor.
