Just to name a few others:

        Draymond Green
        Alex Len
        Ben McLemore
        Rudy Gobert

Could even throw in Pau Gasol.
Dude is having a career year at the age of 34!

But if Hassan pulls a 'Linsanity' til the end of the season, I can seriously see him taking it from Jimmy.

            Green - maybe
Len - no chance in hell. He's come along way from being complete garbage but that's not hard.
McLemore - doesn't compare to the competition either
            Gobert - maybe
            Gasol - very strong maybe
Hassan - can't be most improved if he wasn't really in the league before to have something to improve from.

Gobert could get it if he gets more minutes.

Seems like Butler is far and away most improved with Draymond in 2nd. My homer Bucks picks would be Giannis (the obvious one), and less obvious, Jared Dudley lol. Went from being paired with a 1st round pick just to get him off the Clippers to now being in like the 97% percentile both offensive and defensively according to Synergy Sports and according to RPM and WAR, is a top 10 SG this year.

Giannis isn't consistent enough but there's a lot of ball left to play.

Oh and, no chance he wins it over some of the guys mentioned but Rasul Butler deserves to be in the conversation. Where the hell did this guy come from? Most probably thought there was a better chance he'd be out of the league this year than playing at this level.

Yeah I don't think he'll get any serious consideration simply because Butler and Draymond Green have been so good, but he has improved a good amount.

Another guy that I don't think will get much consideration but I feel like he's taken a big step this year is Klay Thompson

If he keeps up this current level (highly unlikely) I think he'll get a ton of consideration.

Would Hassan Whiteside even be eligible to win this? Or do you have had to been in league last year?

If he continues to produce for the rest of the season it's hard to top an improvement from playing in Lebanon to possible All-Star caliber numbers.
                        Good job! Good effort!

If you can come from not in the league then Wiggins should be able to win it... just giving some perspective. Whiteside shouldn't be eligible.

Not exactly an apples to apples comparison considering Whiteside has played in the NBA before.

I don't think he should be eligible either but I was just curious if the rules actually account for this situation.

Whiteside would be "breakout player of the year."

Pau would be "comeback player of the year."

Butler and Green are the two obvious choices. Had Jennings stayed healthy, I think he could have been in the conversion.
