-EYE am not putting this loss all on him. I know coaching is more than what WE see on TV, even when WE think we know what we’re talking/claim to do a better job than these coaches.

-The “Philly was never supposed to win” is irrelevant(harsh word in this instance, so I’ll say “subjective”). Sure, we can go by which TV Head/Media Guy picked them/didn’t pick them but if we never put any stock into those before, not sure why we’d do so now. Also, that could be said for any non-Top 4 team in their respective conference. It also in a way attempts to lower expectations for THEM because it implies that this was always going to be the outcome, coming into the playoffs.

-As I said before when we were discussing Monty Williams getting fired, most of these firings/resignations aren’t just based on this year. Unless it’s a monumental disaster, you always have to look at the whole picture of a coach’s tenure, not JUST one year. Doc would be no different because it wouldn’t just be based on this year/this series.

-Now obviously, Embiid could put the word out that he wants him back and all this would be irrelevant(at least for a year)but the argument for not bringing him back is a little bit stronger than bringing him back…unless we want to discount Year 1 since it was all Ben’s fault they came up short and that shouldn’t be on Doc, like folks implied/were saying at the time and the months after.

Don’t really think that makes a case for Jokic because it’s a regular season award. He could have literally gone scoreless the entire playoffs and they lose in the first round and it’d be irrelevant to who should be the MVP because it’s a regular season award.

Which is why the whole "we can't let Jokic win three straight when he hasn't even made a finals yet" was silly too.

But we are never going to get that through people's heads lol.
