Yes the Bulls won because of Jordan. But the Lakers won because of Kobe. Shaq. Magic. I just don't see the argument there.

No one is saying the Bulls will go back to a Jordan like era. That's not what this discussion is even about. You mentioned the Bulls aren't getting anyone other than Boozer or JJ. You made no argument why other than saying Chicago was nothing before MJ and is nothing after him.
Like I said, it's pretty much trolling at this point. After Jordan retired and pretty much the entire team went seperate ways the Bulls did like all teams do and went through a dry spot. They banked on the free agent class in 2000 and they didn't get any of them, considering how bad they were burned there, bouncing back to the playoffs and being one of the youngest, brightest teams in the NBA around 05 or so was a testament to the franchise and the guys running things. So the time between Jordan and the Bulls being a playoff team/ capable of looking like an actual NBA team was six, seven years tops. For the Lakers after the Showtime era and they're last Finals appearance? Eight years if you count getting back to the Finals. Six if you count getting out of the first round of the playoffs. What's the difference?

This is the main reason where we disagree.

New York is the bigger market but Chicago is not small either. We're talking about the bigger cities in the US here among a couple others. The fact that the Bulls have Rose, Noah, Deng, Gibson and almost the ability to sign two max agents has to give them a heads up against other teams. Does that mean that LBJ and Bosh are locked to come here? No.
Agreed. I have my doubts, but agreed. I'd rather Chicago than the NYC and their people lifting their skirts for a superstar. Disgusting.

Huge difference. They got Shaq like 3-4 years later, correct?

I just don't think the Bulls have that certain "something" to go back to another Jordan era. I'm not a soothsayer. LeBron may sign with Chicago. But past history gives doubt. And that was more recent to the Jordan era.
WTH does this even mean? Iffing history that happened for a reason? The Spurs didn't win a championship until the Duncan era but you have no problem with that era making the franchise the greatness that it is. The Sixers haven't won a championship since J and they had Wilt for a cup of coffee you can't even try to say they have this amazing string of superstar after superstar. The Knicks haven't won a championship since the early 70's but they somehow have some long history that they can sell free agents on outside of come to New York cause it's New York?

Can July 1st just get here already? This thread is bordering on ridiculous now.

What's your point? Seriously, so what. If landing superstar players was as easy as you're trying to make it, everyone would be amazing.
