Re: NBA Movement Central (PG 1 - Updates)

Barnes to the Lakers is for 2 years, 4 million. Pretty good I'd say. Second year his option.

Theo Ratliff is also a Laker.

Bye Shannon. They'll probably give you what you want in Cleveland. (plus you'll have plenty of time to appear in music middle aged black chick music videos)

I hope Shannon stays put, but if so ......it was fun.

Overall they're all hard nose players in my book.
Yup, championship strategies keep on working, you gotta love the professionalism that he wants to play with hard-nosed players it's actually quite complimentary. It will be a joy watching the Lakers lock it down in the fourth.

I think so.

He's played with Nash almost his entire career so I'm not sure if it's a case of him being that good because Nash was getting him great looks or if he can actually continue to dominate without a great PG in NY.

The good news is he's back in D'Antoni's offense so he's a perfect fit for that style.

He was well on his way to being a star before Nash was there. Marbury isn't exactly a pass-first point guard.

Not that any of these guys really played that great of defense on Kobe, but it's the smart thing to do. Not really that funny, just logical. Acquiring gritty defensive minded players is usually a good decision.

Barnes for 2 million is probably one of the better pickups of the off season. Along with Blake for 4 million.

Shannon needs to come back too. Don't want to depend on Sasha for true backup minutes.
