Really? I'm sure they talked about it a lot, wanting to have their own big 3 bu they don't have the assets. And there has been some reports this week about how the Knicks want Paul but lack the assets.

The Knicks have not said they want a Big 3. They said they're saving cap space for 2012 free agency.

The people who said they want a Big 3 in NY were: Chris Paul, Chris Broussard and a bunch of reporters.

Sources said that Chris Paul's camp were the ones who said the Knicks lack assets for a trade.

I wish this would end already.

Yeah, which is weird b/c I'm here thinking he's about to get himself a decent contract somewhere after showing he's not done, and stayed healthy all year. Then he does the 1 year vet minimum again, and doesn't even go to a serious contender, unless he knows something we don't

uh no, I don't think there is ever such a thing as having back up plan come back to bite you. It is called foresight and preparing for alternatives imo.

There is no way to plan what trades you are going to make, or what 2-3 players you are going to spend whatever cap space they have on a year in advance. The plan is to have as much cap space as possible for next summer. Then we'll see what happens. This is just Howard Beck writing stupid things just because he wants to say something. Same **** happened in 2010 media says they are going all in for Lebron and Bosh, that doesn't work out, so they sign STAT and keep flexibility so they can then trade for Melo.
