Tyson isn't even a real All-Star, nor even close to top 5 at his position, which is the weakest position in the league. I would put Howard, Bogut, Horford, Noah, Al Jefferson ahead of him. Then by preference, I'd take Gasol, and maybe even Bynum/Lopez over Chandler.

Luckily Cuban isn't that stupid.

Chandler is awfully thick if he thinks he'll get a deal anywhere close to $20 million. I mean I've heard of setting the initial price high so you have room to work down but c'mon! That's about $12 million more than he should be making and about $8 million more than anybody will pay him (I hope.) He made $12.5 million last year I think. He really thinks that him staying healthy for most of one season means he should get a 70% RAISE?! LOL

The sad thing is that someone is going to pay that bum somewhere close to that money.

I know it damn well better not be anybody that was apart of that hardline owners camp during the lockout. Pretty much any owner in the league that pays that kind of money to Chandler after this whole 'blame the players' lockout should be shot, but a hardliner that comes out and makes one of those deals should be stripped of ownership of their team immediately just for wasting everybody's time these past few months..

If Chandler gets that type of money, they might as well just cancel the season and lock the league out again.

If the owners give in and give them that kind of money...

What was the lockout for?

Higher revenue sharing.

Bad contract can and will happen. But I'll believe Tyson Chandler getting 20 mill a year when i see it. And when I do, I will laugh my *** off at the team paying him that much.

Re: Official POST-LOCKOUT Player Movement Thread (Trades, FAs, etc)

But these "bad contracts" have been the focal point of a LOT of the debate around the new CBA; there is now a heightened awareness to these bad contracts. If the owners/gm's hand out MORE of them, then shame on them...

I believe the NBA needs contraction... Fewer teams with better players, and then go ahead and pay them bigger salaries. But a guy like Chandler even thinking he's worth this kind of money is baffling... We'll see if the owners agree with those of us who are sane, or the agent who convinces them such...
