I don't care either way for what Barnes says or does but hell at least he's showing some apparent "old school grit" that some people always say is missing from today's game.
That wasnt no old school grit that was just a dude who got mad he was getting schooled and so he pushed somebody

It wasnt old school grit when he threw the ball at Rafer Alston's face

It wasnt old school grit when he tried to fake throwing it at Kobe's face

and its not old school grit now... thats just ridiculous.... this guy is a chump

What in the world do those other incidents have to do with Clippers v Lakers?

That wasn't even my point.....

The guy may be a chump, but I would hope you understood what I was saying.

Matt Barnes that's what... this dude is always pulling some chump move
He has a history of it, now he's doing it in preseason

I got your point, and as I said... the crap he pulled has nothing to do with old school grit

Old boy getting this upset in preseason though? Is he shook by the Clippers already?

OK? I actually don't really see the big deal about his comments? After all it is the pre-season afterall? LAC does do a bit extra, but hey I don't hate on it because they're young and excited they have a new movement. They do flop, and Blake was flopping.

But what's so hard to understand from Barnes' perspective?

Oh so now he's shook by the Clippers?

OK

I dont know man... they weren't flopping when they blew the Lakers out the first game...but beyond that I think we're all generally against flopping

Matt Barnes complaining about a preseason game is a sure sign that the season needs to hurry up and start...and yeah he was shook... I've seen it before

I'm only 18, so I don't know too much about "old school grit," but growing up in Chicago I always heard about the Pistons' "Jordan Rules" they used on MJ, and how hard they would play him. So, IMO, "old school grit" is making sure everytime a guy came into the post, went up for a layup/dunk, they felt it by being really physical, maybe getting a little elbow in there as they go up, or a forearm, or maybe a knee into the thigh as they're in the paint. SOMETHING.

Old school grit isn't just pushing someone just because you're tired of them dunking on you. If you're gonna be tough, then give a guy somehting to think about everytime he comes in the hole. Pushing a guy with all your might does nothing, except ensure he'll come harder, especially for you.

Once again, not the point I was making at all. I also really highly doubt Barnes pushed Blake with all his power. Just another case of Blake flopping and over dramatizing that entire situation.

I think Barnes is a prick sure, but people are making such a huge ordeal out of his comments and actions. Pretty sure the people up in arms about it have something against LA or him or both... but yawn... lol.
