Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

As a GM I would hate to be in the position of having my star player be a small guard in his late 20s/early 30s with the expectation that he's going to get max or near max money on a 5-6 year deal.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Celtics upcoming FA's btw.

Amir Johnson

Jonas Jerebko
Gerald Green
Kelly Olynyk (qualifying offer)
Jordan Mickey (team option)

On the surface, no...but this is supposed to be one of the deepest drafts in awhile and has especially talented point guards. But the bigger factor for being a contender is landing one of those top FA SFs

Agree someone like a George, Butler or Hayward needs to be added. Bench and front court must also be revamped. Bench can't score consistently enough and the front court is soft as ****.

The way Utah has played with all of the injuries this year, I really don't think Hayward is going anywhere. I think we sold him on the potential of this team. If we make it past the Clippers without Gobert, that's just the icing on the cake.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Big If.

Clippers let the Jazz get away with a clearly hobbled Favors for a big portion of the game.

DJ and Griffin should have dominated the boards inside, including offensive rebound put backs, though Hayward helped out with the boards.

But Jazz may not be able to get away with it all series. I remember when the Warriors had to play the Clippers in the first round without Bogut and with Draymond Green in his rookie year having to play a lot guarding Griffin.

Actually it was kind of a revelation of how effective he would be as a defender.

Warriors took it to game 7 and were competitive in that final game for at least a half before the Clippers put them away at the end.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

Should be an interesting offseason for the Heat especially with Bosh's contract coming off the books.

Wonder if Riley will bring back Waiters or go after a top SF. I still have faith that Josh Richardson will blossom next season - injuries hampered his development imo.

We definitely need to re-sign James Johnson who has proved his worth. Just need to find a way to dump McBob's contract.

Re: 2017 Offseason Thread

What are some good coaches(Either fired head coaches or current d-league or nba assistant coaches) out there that people think might be available?
