Bron Bron won player of the month every month except January, when he averaged a "pedestrian" 24/7/7

What Westbrook does is most visible to the eye. In truth, numerous role-players around the league work much harder off the ball setting screens, boxing out, filling-lanes, showing on screen/rolls, baseline rotating, ect. Most fans don't bother to take notice of the off-ball game which covers about 80% of the action.

And the majority of players that excel in those areas aren't playing nearly as many minutes as Russ, aren't the players who are running the breaks like Russ, are chasing rebounds and loose balls that are 20 feet away from them like Russ, and aren't generating half of the teams offensive output like Russ.

Are there players who work hard doing that stuff all game long? Sure, and there are lot's of them. There aren't lots of Russell Westbrooks.

No question that Westbrook usually plays all out (at least on offense). I would say that there at least a dozen other players who could put up the same types of numbers if given the ball like Westbrook and Harden.

I was merely trying to shed some light on the undercover heroes of the NBA.
