Well to be fair I didn't think much of Isaiah Thomas or the Celtics last year. This Portland team has way more firepower and is just a much better team.

When the game slows a bit in the playoffs the ball sticks in Rondo’s hands a bit more, and he’s as effective as pretty much any guard in the league in his own way. His issue is throughout the regular season when he’s off ball more he’s not really good enough at anything offensively to make much of an impact. I feel like this Pelicans lineup suits him well, they have a lot of guys who do well without the ball, which lets it stick in his and AD’s hands, and Holiday gives them the iso scorer that most teams get from their lead guard.

Plus Rondo just plays much harder in the postseason. He always has. Played with a lot of older guys in Boston and picked up that habit early in his career. He’s still a problem when he wants to be, like King said nearly took out Boston by hisself with Chicago. And there are still lots of players and coaches around the league who claim he’s the smartest player they’ve played with/coached.

Playoff Rondo is always fun. Portland has absolutely nobody to guard AD. It was only one game but New Orleans has to be confident in advancing here.
