The Lakers do lead the league in PIP. So... It makes sense.

I really donít want to hear injuries used as an excuse for tonightís performance. There was enough talent on the floor, and letís not forget the Celtics have lost many of games this year to far less talented teams when closer to full health then they were tonight.

Damn.... I just seen Randle take at least 4 shots in one game. With his right hand.

okay fine they could've played better but it's also not a loss to get that upset over either. They were down their whole frontcourt against ... oh I dunno Giannis.

Iíve said this since back in the Hickson, Big Z, Varejao days, any player who can cut in open space benefits so much from Bron. The shooters get all the credit, but JaVale, games like this from Zubac, Haslem, Birdman, etc those are the guys who can come in with limited minutes and give highly efficient output simply from cutting to open spaces. Shooters can always shoot, but when you can make an otherwise limited offensive player the most efficient scorer on the floor itís a big and unexpected addition.

Iíve always thought making sure you paired LeBron with a couple guys who can make those type of cuts and finish is more important than adding extra shooters just for the sake of ďmore spacingĒ, todayís games has enough spacing and shooters will get their shots regardless. Cleveland never paired their roster with enough of those players, and Thompson bobbled nearly every pass that anyone ever threw him and couldnít leave the ground quick enough to finish. Another reason why someone like Mozgov looked so good, he fit that mold.

Not advocating for tons of Zubac minutes, but I think itís a big reason JaVale is flourishing and why Zubac makes a decent replacement on that end now that heís getting a chance.
