That means he's got to counter the excuse reports the Lakers leaked about being "concerned" that he isn't fully recovered from the groin injury last week. You know, in case they don't make the playoffs. So now he's got to let us know he's activated playoff mode and he's trying his hardest to get them over the finish line despite the injury.

For LeBron, leading this group of Lakers into the playoffs is the equivalent of making the Finals. Don't bet against it.

All I know is that we're sitting at 30 wins right now. If we get to 40, I feel very good about playing some playoff basketball in late April.

Kobe Bryant at the apex of a triangular attack, the finest systematization of basketball ever. Phil Jackson was the coach and the 05-06 season was certainly one of the best in his legendary career. He got maximum results from modestly talented players.

Those Lakers wanted to slow the action down and bang the boards. Today's version of the Lakers wants to play speed-ball. Both teams with a lot of problems on defense.
