Does it change anything for people if they make it to the Finals but lose? Their thing was they always lost to LeBron, now he isn't even an obstacle.

Man I thought they were euppied last year. With the change of the whole team. They actually had sets. And a bench. But to get sweeped... Yeah... They need to win and shut up.

Like Dre said, it’s progress for them. If you’re going to finish among the top 2-3 teams in your conference every year, it would be nice if you have something to show for it.

Even a lone Conference Championship banner would hold some weight.

Come up short again in a Lebron-less East...especially if Kawhi is playing then there’s no excuses.

That’s why I didn’t understand all this regular season Raptors love. Unless it was a matter of “Well, we can’t NOT show them any love since the playoffs are still 5 months away”, they should be held to a higher standard than every other team in the East.

And miss me with that “WeLl ThEy DoNt HaVe DeRoZaN cHoKiNg AwAy GaMeS” mess or acting like he was THE problem because it’s a lazy narrative and we all have the same receipts to show that it is.

Speaking of Demar. Jesus. I just saw his shooting from 3 this year. I know he’s never been a big deep threat but last year he came along a lot and this year he’s barely shooting them at all and when he is they’re bricking. 7 made threes on the whole year, 17%.

That was a problem on Raptors. He and Lowry both wanted to play at times as if they're the splash brothers. Only problem, they're not as good/consistent from 3. Pop isn't letting those 3 balls fly or giving in to iso ball.

There's very few good scenarios for Raptors:
1.Win finals and Kawhi stays
2.Win finals and Kawhi leaves
3.Lose finals and Kawhi stays

Any other scenario isn't good for Raptors. So there's more pressure than ever to do well. Probably more pressure on them than any east team. Losing finals and Kawhi leaves provides some nice memories, but beyond that, there's nothing accomplished for the future.

Re: 3/12 - 3/18 Games Discussion Thread

The thing is thought Demar was still only shooting like three per game and I think that was a career high. To put that into context it’s around the same volume as Julius Randle and Nic Vucevic.

This year Jarrett Allen has attempted more 3s, Taj Gibson is shooting it better. Hell, Alex Len is spacing the floor for the Hawks better than DeRozan is for San Antonio.
