True, but I just see him as being a player who's best fit on a contending team being more in line with a Klay Thompson like role. His max is cheaper sure, but he's still not a guy I'm wanting to pay 35 mil at some point either.

You're right in that plenty of other players have worse contracts than him, max money is thrown around a bit loosely in general these days.

The Nets saving grace could be that all the teams they face in their last 6 apart from Miami have already secured playoffs and the Cs and Pacers are only fighting each other for HCA.

I think they win two of those last 6, which I think will still get them in. Orlando probably has the easiest schedule left but for whatever reason I don’t think of them in the playoffs.
