Re: 2019 Offseason Thread

I'm just over here trying to figure out how the Lakers are the new Knicks when the Knicks are still the Knicks?

Yup, counting our eggs before they hatch. Don't know the Draft order, KD and or Kyrie hasn't signed yet.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread

In true Knicks fashion we’re gonna end up 5th, miss out on KD and Kyrie, and give a max to Tobias Harris.

Re: 2019 Offseason Thread

My bold predict is Kyrie Irving will be a Toronto Raptor this summer.

Is that financially possible? Even if Kawhi opts out, there's no way Gasol does. Once that happens, they'd have to make some major moves to free up enough cap space. Even without cap holds and rookies, they'd be over the cap at roughly $110m. You basically have to move Ibaka and Lowry, without taking on too much salary in return, which means you'd be giving up picks. All to get Kyrie? Doesn't seem worth it.

I wonder what Kyrie really wants at this point in his career. Does he still want to prove he's the #1 guy on a contender or is he ready to go back to being a #2, where he belongs?

Based on his bickering in Boston and his conversation with LeBron, it sounds like he's ready to go back to being a #2

And can then start looking ahead to next offseason where NY born (later moved to Connecticut) Andre Drummond is a FA.

I'm thinking what Kyrie thinks/wants changes about every 10 seconds.
