Re: Load mangement needs to go!

It isn't unreasonable for a fan to be upset about paying good money and not seeing Kawhi go against Giannis.

I'm sure Clippers took notice, and whoever is in charge of mapping out the load management schedule will be told by upper management to take into consideration national TV games more prominently.

It is as simple as: Kawhi plays against Giannis, sits against Portland (even though both were nationally televised, choose the most compelling matchup).

End of story.

Interesting you have brought up baseball. I do think they have went to far with pitch count in baseball but at lesst they are playing. With guys already playing less minutes and more days of this load mangement would almost be like teams going to a 6-7 pitcher rotation in baseball instead of 5.

If what I'm reading is right, the Raptors play 13 back to backs this year, assuming the Clippers play the same amount, that's 13 games Kawhi is going to sit. That leaves him at 69/82 games, before accounting for injury. That's 84%, 136 out of 162 baseball games.

The only everyday players who get that kind of rest are the ones who squat behind the plate for 9 innings. There's no comparison there.

This is exactly why I don’t blame them for what they’re doing.
A existing injury is way different that is not a fair comparison at all and fans cheering for a guy getting injured has zero to do with load mangement and that is being a bad fan.

That might be at best that he dosnt rest more then that to. Barry bounds played a little bit less then that his last 2 years 130 and 126 games but he was 41 and 42 not like 28 and could hardley walk at times.

I don't know a single thing about how soccer so I can't comment.

The star player usually plays an entire match hardly ever getting subbed out.

So he's running around for 90+ minutes a game with no timeouts and only a 15 minute halftime break.

And it can be argued that Ronaldo is the biggest sports star on the planet.

Re: Load mangement needs to go!

What is a normal schedule? Is three games in a week a hypothetical or does that happen? Do star players often sit out entire matches?
