Yep seen that. Haven't felt this way in a long while.
Trying to wrap head around it...

Go there and have the greatest workout of your life.

RIP Kob' and Gianna. I am at work and I wanna cry.

Re: Kobe Bryant reportedly died in helicopter crash

I always disliked Kobe...

From the Jordan comparisons to the rivalry with Iverson and the games vs the Sixers. The long schoolyard debates about who is better, Kobe or Iverson. The fact that we never really accepted Kobe as a Philadelphian as he was always the ”outside guy”.

RIP Kobe, we love you and you ARE a Philly LEGEND.

Re: Kobe Bryant reportedly died in helicopter crash

I wasnt a fan of Kobe for most of his career, but I had a ton of respect for the passion he had for the game, and the desire to win at all cost. Even more, just how tough he was, at playing thru injuries. His will to win was right there with Bird, Magic and MJ.

From someone who has had to deal with pain for much of my life, I became a fan of his, seeing him play thru injuries, he gained my respect, especially when he tore his achillies tendon, and still tried to play. From a toughness standpoint, there was no one tougher than Kobe Bryant. The majority of these players today, are pansies compared to Kobe. He was a throwback player, in both mentality and toughness.

My prayers go out to his family, I cant even begin to imagine the pain they must be feeling, to not only lose a father, son, uncle and husband, but they also lost a daughter, sister, niece and granddaughter in this tragedy. RIP Kobe, and Gianna

RIP Kobe. I normally don't care about these things, but this one hurts. I remember having respect for him as a basketball player when the Lakers beat my Pacers in the NBA Finals. However, I knew in my heart he was going to be a great player when he took those multiple shots and airballed reach time against the Utah Jazz in one of the NBA playoff games.

Re: Kobe Bryant dies at 41

This is going to take a long, long time for me to process.

I am going to be in an everlasting combined stage of both doubt and shock.

This to be continued.

Re: Kobe Bryant reportedly died in helicopter crash

Devasting news. Regardless of your thoughts on Kobe during his playing days if you love basketball it's impossible to be unaffected by this news. You felt his impact if even if you didn't like him. He was an icon who meant a tremendous amount to this sport.
