Yep.

All the missing players talk....LAL is down a starter as well.

His ability to stop initial penetration takes an already stout defense up a notch.

This was the lone downside to how Spo handled that small-small PnR Vogel kept throwing at them. It was, what, four or five possessions where Rondo came up to set a ball screen to put Herro in a PnR (and presumably to get him switched on to LeBron) and Miami played it as a soft double and ignored Rondo. A few passes later and the ensuing chaos of the rotations and there was no one to put a body on Rondo when a shot went up.

Funny how trying to cause/exploit a mismatch can pay off indirectly a few sequences later on a given possession.

I think NFL replay has conditioned us to their rules where you’re running to get your next snap off because you can’t review after the next play starts. When I saw it in the Bulls game was the first time I saw it. I remember seeing the score and I think it was the Bulls were up by 1 and when they came back from commercial they were down by 2 and I’m like wtf happened lol Announcers explained that the refs went back and looked at the play from a few possessions prior tho.

Re: 2020 NBA Finals: Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Lakers.

I go back and forth with who the most important players were this game. KCP was huge in swinging the momentum the Lakers' way and was the only reliable 3 pt threat surronding LBJ, AD and Rondo. However, Rondo was huge in getting the Lakers into quicker action, had really savvy defensive plays, his high IQ was in full display. Lebron had a terrible 1st half but really took over in the 3rd although it was a close game, once he started hitting from the outside the floodgates opened. but AD guarded the Heat's best player for most of the game, didn't score a whole lot but took away Butler's confidence and obviously hit the dagger.

All in all a huge team effort, nobody can say this was a carry job.

As for the Finals MVP race I'd give it to AD, not averaging as many points as LBJ but his impact is probably the biggest. When he's a presence, the Lakers can't lose.

Lmao seriously? They’re missing a starter that they’ve gone through the whole bubble with? Get out of here with that Two Four. That’s not even remotely close to the same as Miami

Not following, It doesn't have to be the same, lol

Whether they've navigated through the bubble without him or not, fact is, they're missing a starter, who was an important piece to their team.
