Rockets-Nets-Cavs-Packers deal from last year is a prime example of where nobody will know who “won” or if everyone came out good from it until a few years down the line.
I agree. Did NO win the Anthony Davis deal? I wouldn't say they lost since they have BI, but wouldn't say they won. Did the Spurs win the Kawhi trade? Had DeRozan for a few years. OKC has potential to win the Paul George trade if picks pan out.

It's hard to "win" trades when the star requests a trade. Rockets could have had Simmons, Thybulle and maybe Maxey last year. That deal was pretty much "agreed on" to the point Ben was told about it. But the Rockets weren't going to do Morey any favors after his departure. Its funny to imagine what they could have gotten for Simmons last year if Morey wasn't so dead set on Harden.

Re: 2021-22 NBA Trade Deadline

But in general, I do think after January 15th(when the rest of the trade eligible players become available) that we'll start seeing trades within that 4 week span before the deadline. The main reason why is because I do think/hopefully that are getting over the hump of the amount of teams going through the massive amount of players entering Health and Safety protocols. Last I heard, NBA was under 50 players on hardship deals. I think by late January or Early February(hopefully), that it'll get to the point where it is just a few players here and there sporadically entering H&S Protocols. While things are somewhat starting to get better, it's still difficult to pull certain deals when you're undermanned.

@wojespn

ESPN Sources: The Atlanta Hawks are trading forward Cam Reddish to the New York Knicks for a deal that includes a protected 2022 first-round pick via Charlotte. Knicks also acquire Solomon Hill and a 2025 second-round pick via Brooklyn in trade.

New York is including Kevin Knox in trade to Atlanta, sources tell ESPN.

Two players who both could use a fresh start IMO but I don't really see how this benefits Atlanta.

Love the trade for us, doesn't make sense for Atlanta. His market must have dried up quite a bit since the off-season.

"Denver's Bol Bol trade with Detroit has been voided, sources tell ESPN. The Pistons didn't pass Bol on his physical with team."

Basically just getting a 1st round pick for someone they were going to let walk anyways.

Hope it works out for the Knicks, but he's been a mostly bad player everywhere he's played.
