Match Day 28
Lazio vs. Genoa
Stadio Olimpico, Rome, Italy

A very disappointing Sunday as Genoa dropped to the bottom of the table after a 2-0 defeat to Lazio in Rome.

Genoa controlled the pace and possession the entire game but could not get anything past Carrizo, the Lazio GK.

Matuzalem got the first goal in the 64th. After a couple near misses to equalize, Makinwa's 75th minute header found the back of the net and the hopes of salvaging 1 point were dashed.

Wow - Genoa, bottom? Come on Riz - what Lugano doing? 17-year old is enough for the burden of the team.

How many games left?

Man, I wish there was relegations - would intensify things so much more.

No kidding. They got off to a brutal start, but the form lately has been more like the mid-table team that they actually are. Ten games left in the season.

The good news though is that we are in the Semi Finals of the European Masters Cup (UEFA Cup?) against Caen. Still have a chance at Silverware.

Lugano came up in week 28 and has played very well. He got his first start against Lazio and was subbed out in the 85th. I'm back to the bench for my next game against Atalanta.

No problem at all.

I didn't have as much time as I would have liked, but I was able to create a player and play my intro match. I scored a goal off of a corner which was cool and my team won 3-1. I chose to sign with Napoli. Might be tough to get into that lineup, but we'll see. This might just be a test run until I get updated rosters.

Very fun mode though. I am a little lost especially playing with the player camera, but hopefully will get better. Love the depth in the mode. My match rating was only a 6 in my intro game.

Hey guys, first post. I just got the game yesterday and I'm don't know much about real life soccer but I'm having a lot of fun with this mode. Matt10 got me wanting the game from his Lam Matteo blog.

Anyway, I scored a goal in my intro game and signed with Sant Blanco/Verde (is that a made up team? I can't find any information about them online.) Took me 10 inter team games to make the bench, and I've played in 5 of 7 games since, starting in 1. 2 goals so far, one on an empty net when the keeper bounced one off his hands and the other on a lucky header.

My open shot shooting is pretty bad at this point, but hopefully it'll get better.
