I probably should elaborate more. If pictures are showing up outside of PES, especially png's, then you are missing something when you go to import the picture.

If no images are showing up then I would try a different USB stick.

Does the png file need to be in a savedata file that's in a ps3 file? Kind of like the PES or Backbreaker edit data?

I don't actually own the game, so I wouldn't know for sure, but here is my guess.

I think the file path should be PS3/PICTURE, not PS3/SAVEDATA. I'm pretty sure PICTURE is the name of the folder that the PS3 looks in for pictures, but it could be something else. If that doesn't work, when prompted to select your image, press triangle, and then choose the option to Display All.

Finally got it to work. Had to save the pics as .jpgs. Thanks again for all your help.

I'm loving the option file. It's great being able to play as the MLS. However, the players seem slower now than in the 1st MLS option file, version 1.1, I think. Has anyone else noticed this, or is it just me?

hmm, haven't noticed this personally. And nothing's been done to the file to slow things down, purposefully. *shrug*

Anyway, another update probably will be out next week sometime.
