Anyone successful getting them on the squad? if so how did you do it? Detailed instructions would be appreciated.

I was not able to when I was doing the transfers. the problem is if they are not on a team that are in the game i don't think there is anyway to do it. I couldn't move Heinze to Roma either because he was in the FA list.

Yeah you can do it.

Go to Edit Menu>Transfers>EPL>Arsenal>Add (Above the first player on the left column) Then go to Germany to get Mertesacker and so on...
