Glowing Games Radar Review

Highly respected reviewer and longtime football gamer Asim Tanvir has just released his review of PES 2016.
For those of you interested, it includes these words "Not only is PES 2016 a high point for the series, it's the best football game I've ever played."

Re: Glowing Games Radar Review

3rd review I have read that mentioned the low number of fouls in the game. Looks like that was not addressed from the demo and was a huge issue with the 2015 game. May hold off till they patch it.

Yeah the lack of fouls is just...disappointing. I am still deciding if I should pick it up now or later. It is very interesting that the lack of fouls is detracting from the overall experience for a lot of people.

Option files are tied to profiles as well, so if you plan on picking it up, expect to be editing. I'm so torn. Because the lack of fouls is a huge issue, and truthfully, I wouldn't hold my breath looking for them to patch it, I don't think they can, if so it'd have been done by now.
I think the only way I spring for this is if I completely hate FIFA.

Yeah with all the glowing reviews they won't touch a damn thing. They did the same thing last year and literally stated they won't patch the issues of PES 15.

I am a foul whore, so it will never be enough for me and I do understand why both games do not go overboard with them as most casuals would not stand for the amount of stoppages found in the real game. PES used to do them so well last gen and that helped slow the pace. I hope we see improvements going forward as the physical play is much improved, but when you see slide tackles taking out people left and right with no calls, it kind of kills the realism the game has tried to capture otherwise.

I've read tweets this year fro Bhatti & officialpes stating that they're worried about throwing the "gameplay balance" out of whack.

Sounds like rubbish to me.

Fouls happen in the game, they just aren't called. Seems like referee tuning to me.

Yeah that is a pretty poor excuse IMO they said that last year!
