Great gameplay here but Konami really needs to improve generic player faces from here on out.

My impressions:

+The game looks more fluid, animations look better.
+I noticed some of the passes aren't automatically going to the team-mate, power of the pass is really important this time - I like it.
+Off ball player movement is excellent in offense
+You can lose the ball more often in 1 on 1 which is more realistic as well
+Passes with players using outside of their foot is much more accurate now.
+Defenses and goalkeepers are better
+Seems harder to score by headers, it was relatively easy in 17 and 18
-The free-kick by Jadson from 31 meter looked very unrealistic. No way you can shoot that shot with that power with that technique.
-Penalty kick animations look poor : the way the bal bounces, the way players run up to take the kick look very unrealistic

Hard to tell if graphics in general are improved...I was really underwhelmed (Xbox One S and PS4) with the graphics in this game the last few years.

The cutscenes are beautiful...but in game is a different story. Still grainy compared to other games like the Show, NBA 2k and WWE 2k.

Yeah, always hard to tell about graphics from a stream. People I know & trust who played it at E3 said the textures and details look improved from the default camera.

We’ll see though when the game releases. I just hope their promises about making sure the game looks good on XB1 come true. XB1 PES players have been on the short end of the stick since the console released.

The game looks really promising. I've always been a fan of the series ever since I discovered it in the late 90's with Winning Eleven. Some of the animations remind me of World Fantasista and ISS which, although lacked in many simulation game-play aspects, where years ahead of their time in animations and game moments.


Agree on the generic faces and hairstyles still lacking if compared to real faces.
