Its that time again already. Preseason mere days away, this Thursday night is the Hall of Fame game. I've been watching a lot of CFL the last month and a half and enjoyed it immensely but I need 4th downs and don't need a 55 yard line. Lets get it on!

Its going to take some getting used to but the way it had evolved up to last season where returns were at an all-time low was no good either. What was really strange was seeing a kickoff with twelve men on the field when the Bears used extra player to hold the ball. The Houston backup qb actually looked fairly decent but what can you really tell from a practice game. I wish each team only had one preseason game, and played it at a neutral site. And they should play it during college footballs Week Zero.All Things 4:13Comment

I don't believe the NFL was being truthful about why they invented this new dynamic kickoff. They say its to increase amount of kickoff returns. I say its because they waned something radically different just for the sake of doing something different. Because if the endgoal is to simply increase the amount of returns, all that was needed to do that would be to make touchbacks come out to the 15 yard line instead of the twenty. Personally I would have liked to see kickoffs remain similar with these changes:
1. Kickoff from the 25 yard line.
2. Only 9 men on the field for returns.
Open up the field a bit more and put the kickoff team back farther. Would highlight return men while also still rewarding kickers who can boom it.

Sitting here watching the Steeler game, and I wonder what exactly Teryl Austin has been teaching these backups, cause it sure as hell ain't tackling.
I understand it's preseason, but the oline looks really bad, especially Broderick Jones, Greg Rousseau basically made him his bitch.
