Apparantley the deal is contingent on a verbal agreement that the team will not be moved and mayor Frank Jackson just pointed out that the lease on CLE Browns Stadium continues until 2029 and the Browns MUST play all home games and playoff games or the person who moves the team can be SUED!Last edited by RobD4477; 07-27-2012, 11:54 AM.All Things Cleveland Sports

Yeah I think the moving thing is just a punchline, there are only a handful of teams capable of moving anytime soon based on stadium lease situations, most likely candidate at the moment I believe is San Diego.

What is the love fest for LA? It is a horrible sports town. Fans show up late for playoff games, leave early too. I get the media market stuff, but the NFL isn't hurting. I really don't get it. Yeah there is lots of money there so I guess there's that...Moderator

Basically it's to do with advertising and getting more market share from TV ratings etc etc. At least that's their rationale. I never said it made sense.

Holmgren needs to take him massive ego and his pulling rank out of the equation... I want the owner to get rid of him and Shurmur but definitely keep Heckert and try to keep Childress and Jauron as coordinators.Comment
