With less than 1min in the first half, the game is tied @ 3. The Giants are suprising me at the the moment.

They look like the Giants from 2 years ago. Maybe a upset in the first game of the year.

I hope it's not an upset.

I think both defensive's are playing good right now. The 49ers are struggling to get their passing game going. Owens has been tripled team the whole game and the running game is being stop by the front line.

The 49ers defensive is playing good right. I know their down 6-3 at halftime, but thier stopping the Giants from making a BIG PLAY. The LB's are stepping up in this game. Something I hoping for before the season started.

        Garcia 66 yds passing
        T. Owens: 1 yd recieving

Why is SF giving the ball to Barlow more? I thought Hearst was the main guy.

T.O. punked out towards the end of the half.

Yeah i tip my hat off to the giats for the 1st half. They have looked good. But i still say niners will win the game. Owens had bad 1st halfs last yr also and would finish up woth 8-10 catches and a td or so..i look for both teams to score some points this half.

Well niners won...giants played a great game. But niners held on. Cortez won lasts yrs opening game against falcons i belive score was 16-13 with a last second FG and did the same this yr.

Well i thought the Giants were going to be blown out, but it's so much worse when you lose in the last couple of seconds. Of course Sehorn blows it again. At least Kerry Collins didn't fumble ...........
.....and When does the ZONE defense ever work??

Sehorn blows. Amani Toomer looked really good for NY.

FYI... Falcons lost to the niners twice last year in OT...... Falcons were leading both games in the 4th but Mr conservative dan reeves let up and tried to run the clock up....... when you have team down in the NFL, you don't punch them... you kick 'em

Toomer was doing a good job. He caught some key catches. The Niners looked confused at the end. It was an ugly win for the Niners, but at least it's a W. They still need to improve in order to beat the Rams though.

Sehorn= overrated, overpaid model/football player that's always hurt.

Yes, Niners loss to falcons twice in OT last yr. Reason i brought up the only game was because cortez won that gmae also to start off the season. The 2nd game is when owens had a great 2nd half after being shut out the 1st and had the game winning td.

Toomer looked good tonight. 49ers offense needs to get better than that performance tonight.
