2023 Offseason Thread

If the league is smart, they’ll make that Chiefs-Jets game for Week 2 so there’s no more BS getting in the way of Rodgers-Mahomes finally happening on the field.

I did see that the Jets make a visit to Jerry World this year also. They’re definitely about to get that National TV/Game of the Week bump we’ve had for the last 15 years.

Aren't they alternating Det/Dal hosting an AFC team? If so, Dallas would play either the Pats or Jets, so Jets on Thanksgiving seems likely to me.

The biggest obstacle that I see for the Jets is their own division. For two decades, the division was trash, outside of New England. Now, New England looks like the worst team, and they're not even bad.

Buffalo, Miami, and the Jets all look strong (to varying degrees) on paper. When the perceived worst team in your division is coached by Bill Belichick, it's going to be a bloodbath.

Then again, I suppose Rodgers could have a Russell Wilson year, and the Jets be the bottom-feeder yet again. It will be fun to watch.

Commanders have declined DE Chase Young’s 5th year option.

Bold move right there after everything they’ve done/said this offseason.

1.5 Sacks in 12 games over the last 2 seasons. I'm not sure that committing $17.5 M guaranteed to him for 2024 would be a good call. We'll see.

It'll be sad, however, if his career doesn't get back on track. He was a beast as a rookie before the ACL injury in Year 2.

This really isn't true. He only won DROY because of the hype he had coming out of the draft. In Year 2 before he got hurt he only had 1.5 sacks in 8 games.
